The
.coop gTLD is restricted to businesses and organizations acting as
cooperatives and registered with a cooperative membership association
that requires compliance with the seven cooperative principles as a condition
of membership, or have provided documentation to verify a cooperative
status and eligibility for a .coop domain name.
Due to the nature of cooperatives, whereby they don't exactly fit into
the typical business structure with stock holders, but being a business,
they are not considered organizations, .coop is expected to act as the
defining domain extension for all such cooperatives
.Coop Domain Registration
Restricted to business cooperatives
